Never Stare at the Sun; pointing a telescope or binoculars at the Sun even for a instant will cause permanent damage to your eyes. Sunglasses, camera filters, or any other dark filter do not make it safe for you to observe the Sun. The telescopes and filters used by Sunworshippers pass about one millionth of the suns energy, are specifically manufactured for the purpose and subject to the most stringent safety standards given their application. Click on the image top right to see todays Sun updated automatically  with data provided by SOHO; the solar observatory parked a million miles from Earth.
The excitement of seeing and begining to understand how the Sun works
is not worth damaging your eyesight for.
If in doubt, Leave it out!

ImageTry and define God as simply as you can? Here is my attempt.
"The most tangible and powerful force effecting the physiology, psychology, and ultimately the existence and extinction of mankind and life on Earth".
Now try to define the Sun without stating how it is made up.
Er.... Umm......  uncanny!
Sunworshippers do not claim to be a religion, religious cult, brotherhood, sisterhood, or pagan coven. We are head over heals about the religious diversity on our planet. We do however have a very serious commitment to finding out who the Sunworshippers were and where they still practice. How they died out, or indeed, where the most pragmatic form of Religious worship open to us is flourishing. We shall also discover how echoes of Sun worship are still immerced in the daily and weekly practices of the "Son" Worshippers, Moon worshippers or others that usurped its roll as God.
The main aim of our organisation is to offer everyone the chance to glimpse for themselves the wonders that only a Hydrogen-Alpha solar telescope can reveal and offer advice and safety information about our local star. Sunworshippers  provides an entertaining, exciting, not to mention educational renewable energy venue at Festivals and gatherings throughout the country. When our carefully managed carbon offset program allows, we travel to eclipses and Sun Worshipping cultures past and present making all of our discoveries come to life on this site.
